Prevention of STIs, HIV / AIDS

In order to increase awareness of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV / AIDS. On December 7, 2018, at the Republican Medical Academy LLP, the specialist of the center for the formation of a healthy lifestyle in Astana, O. Bondarchuk, held a seminar on the prevention of STIs and HIV / AIDS for first year students. This topic aroused particular interest among students, the participants took an active part, asked questions and gave interesting answers. During the event, students familiarized themselves with the symptoms of STIs and were informed about the ways of infection. The workshop shaped the motivation to use ways to protect against sexually transmitted infections. Students learned about the effects of a sexually transmitted infection: an increased risk of HIV infection; infertility in men and women; chronic inflammatory diseases of the genital organs in men and women; impotence in men and others.
