About the Company
The Republican Medical Academy (RMA, formerly RIPOV) was founded in 2010 and is one of the leading institutions of continuing professional education in Kazakhstan.

Equipment and Infrastructure
The Academy occupies its own four-storey teaching building. Classes are held in lecture rooms and laboratories in line with the state education standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and practical training takes place at medical organisations.

There is also a 30-seat assembly hall, a canteen and a medical office with an examination room and a treatment room.
Library
The Academy library covers 80 m² and includes a lending desk, a reading room, an electronic library and a book store. Each year the collection is expanded with new textbooks, teaching and reference materials, visual aids and e-textbooks. Learners have access to external electronic libraries, including the Republican Inter-University Electronic Library and Konsultant Vracha (Doctor's Consultant).
Distance Learning Platform
Managing information resources and developing the related infrastructure is one of the Academy's main priorities. RMA has developed its own distance learning system, which teachers, learners and administrators can access online 24/7 from anywhere in the world with an internet connection and login credentials.
The Academy in Numbers
RMA's management is steadily improving its facilities: classrooms and laboratories are equipped with training phantoms, mannequins and medical simulators, and the simulation centre has high-tech computerised mannequins. All units have internet access, projectors, interactive equipment and Wi-Fi for learners.
RMA is unique in having its own clinical bases, DENT and LAB, where learners complete the practical part of their training using modern technologies and methods in dentistry and prosthetic dentistry.
Clinical Bases
To improve the quality of training and create favourable learning conditions, and in line with state education standards, the Academy has concluded agreements with more than 150 clinical bases in Kazakhstan and with educational organisations abroad.
Teaching Staff
RMA delivers up-to-date professional development and retraining programmes within the continuing education system, supports innovation in education and ensures effective teaching methodology. Continuing education at the Academy is delivered by highly qualified teaching staff who continually develop their own skills.
Staff are supported in research and teaching and benefit from social support and incentive measures. Housing is one of the issues the Academy's management pays particular attention to: this year RMA provided housing to 10 employees, who pay only for utilities.
Medical College
The Republican Medical Academy ensures continuity between levels of education, as shown by the opening of its medical college on 1 September 2018.
